Hello DBAs,

I'm looking for the Oracle9i Database Benchmark tool like the tool from www.cisecurity.com

If you know the other Oracle9i benchmark tools like that or something like that, please tell know.

Hi,

The CIS benchmark is currently only available for 8i. The 9i and 10g versions are not available yet. There used to be a delivery date for the 10g version but this doesnt appear to be on the CIS site anymore.

This is the only free comprehensive tool available. The 8i version should still run against 9i and should be worth running anyway.

I wonder Why ORACLE do not have the Benchmark tool like CIS Benchmark.

Hi,

This is an interesting question. I have been told a few times over the years by various people in Oracle that they are developing such a tool but I have never seen any real evidence of one.
