I've noticed that on the Jan 2007 CPU Pre-Release announcement, they are still including 8.1.7.4.
I thought this went fully out of support last month, so was figuring it wouldn't be featuring in new CPUs. Am I out of date ?

I wrote this in my blog, 8.1.7.4 is still supported for customers using Siebel 6/7 or old EBusiness. Check note 148054.1

to find the patch number for 8.1.7.4 cpu jan2007, you need to go to the E-Business advisory.

The patch 5689799 (http://updates.oracle.com/download/5689799.html)
is only supported for E-Business/Siebel customers, when run with a supported version of E-Business/Siebel.
