Title: Strong passwords
Post by Pete Finnigan on Apr 17th, 2007, 8:12pm
Hi

Can you let me know the first version of Oracle DB that had the password complexity functionality, i.e. forcing you to use strong passwords.

Also, how do you enforce it on 9i?

Thanks

It's in 9iR2. Think it was in 9iR1. Don't think it was in 8i.

Hi,

Password management was added in Oracle 8.0, not sure of the exact sub-version but i would guess it would be the first public release.

cheers
