Title: Database Vault presentation
Post by Pete Finnigan on Jun 13th, 2007, 4:58am
Hi Folks,

Last month I did a demo of Database Vault for the Oracle User Group in Melbourne (Australia). Here's a link to the powerpoint slides. You will probably need to read the notes to make sense of the slides.

http://www.mga.com.au/downloads/Database%20Vault_2007.ppt

There's a lot of slides - over 100 - however, most of the presentation was an actual demo.

Enjoy,

DavidB

Hi David,

a good presentation. Thanks.

I have to face a problem about auditing and I hope you or someone else could help me to find a solution.

I have a CMSDK Application where only one user is accessing  the database. All regular application users are stored in OID. Is there any possibility of auditing such user? propably with Oracle Vault?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion

Dear ITStudent,

Database Vault is geared around separation of DBA duties - not auditing, so it probably won't help you.

Maybe you are thinking of Audit Vault?

I've not had a chance to look at this in any detail yet so cannot comment.

Regards,
David
