Title: Passwords with special charaters
Post by Pete Finnigan on Aug 16th, 2007, 9:48pm
Hi to all,

I have just changed the password to a database user but with different type of characters...as you know this can be accomplished by the following command:

alter user test identified by "_12^3456"

As you can see the password is in quotes which makes this change possible.

The problem I have now is that when i use any application like TOAD or VB they don't connect using that password. I've tried putting it in quotes or in literals but it still gives me access denied. Please help I've been searching all over and can't seem to find an answer.
???
