Title: Could 'Change Password' box be suppressed ? Post by Pete Finnigan on Feb 22nd, 2008, 9:36pm Hi, I'm currently developing a password management policy for my organisation. I'm investigating password expiration. I'm using Oracle 8i. The following observations were made:- (1) A user's password has expired. (2) The user attempts to logon (to an Oracle user application) for the first time since password expiration. (3) A 'change password' dialog box is presented by Forms Runtime. This allows the user to specify (1) the old password (2) new password (3) confirm new password. The user may change his password a set number(3) of times BEFORE the box actually exits. This is not desirable. I'm investigating why this is occuring. Question : Is it possible to suppress this dialog box so that it is not displayed automatically when a user's password has expired ??? I would like helpdesk to attend to new password requests/authorization. I would appreciate any assistance please..... |
