12.2 is Available For Download For Linux And Solaris

The Oracle database 12.2 has been available on the cloud for some time but it has not been available for download so that you can install it on your own servers or virtual Machines. You can download from OTN or delivery.oracle.com. I have already downloaded Oracle Database 12.2.0.1.0 for Linux x64 and I hope I will get time to install this weekend. I am already aware of some security changes / updates / deleted parameters etc in 12.2 but I want to have a detailed look at whats changed and I will blog about some of the things here.

Of course also watch out for Tim Hall to create his famous installation guides for this version.

Good luck!!
